The Conference focused on rural areas and agriculture, especially on family farms and rural workers in order to develop strategies to fight with extreme poverty and food insecurity in rural areas.
REPORT OF THE FOURTH INTERNATIONAL FORUM of NGO’s in OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP WITH UNESCO, UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, 29-30 June 2015
The Forum on “The Role of Women in Fighting Poverty” wants to show by data and hard facts from different regions of the world that not only women are both the first victims of poverty and the first ones to find survival strategies, thanks to their resilience and solidarity in the face of extreme situations, but also that women can be the agents of change insofar as the goal of the Post 2015 Development Agenda is to achieve a just, inclusive and sustainable society where women are on an equal footing with men.

The event focused on bringing forward the unique insights needed to move the private sector’s contribution to peace towards transformational impact where it has operations, supply chains and business partners in challenging operating environments around the world.
3rd Int. Conference of NGOs in partnership with UNESCO, by Marie-Claude Machon-Honoré
It was the third international forum of its kind of the biennum 2013-2014, organized by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee and NGOs in partnership with UNESCO. The idea was to gather many NGO representatives, primarily young people, to sensitize the youth and promote their role in the safeguarding of cultural heritage for sustainable development, from environmental, economic and social perspectives.
Symposium on Targeting Women in War, by Marlene Parenzan
The meeting was hosted by ACUNS, with the support from the UK Mission and the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Contributions of ambassadors, journalists, NGO representatives focussed on the diverse forms of VaWomen in diverse conflicts – used as a form of weapon of war,however, also children were involved in these atrocities in growing numbers.
Launch of 2014 Global Report on Trafficking in Persons by UNODC, by Marlene Parenzan
This 2nd report following UNGA mandate in 2010 as part of Global Plan of Action to combat human trafficking. Data reported to UNODC by national authorities however – represent ONLY what has been detected. It is clear that the scale of modern-day slavery is far worse.
